Dakota was the band of Pennsylvania natives Bill Kelly and Jerry Hludzik. First assembled as the Jerry-Kelly Band (album released in 1978), they changed their name to Dakota in 1979 and thus becoming a hybrid west coast/AOR outfit during their run from 1980 to 2015.
